Job Description:
The (Senior) Editorial & Communications Manager is responsible for elevating the quality, clarity and effectiveness of all written communications across dentsu Hong Kong.
This role combines corporate communications, executive storytelling, editorial leadership and English copywriting support. Working closely with the CEO, Creative, Content and Business teams, the role ensures all communications are strategically sharp, culturally relevant and executed to the highest editorial standards.
The role will also act as a bridge between Chinese and English content, helping to adapt and elevate locally developed content for regional and international audiences.
Responsibilities
Editorial Leadership
Act as the editorial custodian of dentsu Hong Kong's voice and narrative
Establish and maintain writing standards, tone of voice and editorial quality across all channels
Edit, refine and elevate written materials produced by different teams
Ensure consistency, clarity and impact across all external and internal communications
Provide editorial oversight of key presentations, reports and thought leadership pieces
Executive & Corporate Communications
Develop thought leadership articles, speeches and messaging for senior leadership
Draft and edit corporate announcements, press releases and executive communications
Support internal communications initiatives and employee engagement programmes
Partner with regional communications teams on corporate messaging and communication priorities
Help shape and articulate dentsu Hong Kong's positioning in key strategic areas including AI, GBA, China inbound and outbound growth, innovation and marketing transformation
Creative & Content Support
Provide English copywriting support to Creative, Content and Social teams
Develop copy for campaigns, content platforms, websites, presentations and client communications
Refine and strengthen English headlines, messaging frameworks and storytelling
Support award entries, case studies and new business proposals
Collaborate with strategists, creatives and content creators to ensure strong narrative development
This role supports creative development but is not expected to lead creative concept generation or creative direction.
Translation Adaptation & Localisation
Adapt Chinese-language content into high-quality business and marketing English
Ensure translated content is culturally and contextually appropriate for local, regional and international audiences
Partner with diverse teams to strengthen cross-border communications
Support multilingual content development where required
Awards, Reputation & Thought Leadership
Lead editorial development of award submissions
Develop executive profiling opportunities
Support media-facing materials and thought leadership initiatives
Identify opportunities to raise dentsu Hong Kong's profile through high-quality content and storytelling
Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of experience in editorial, communications, content, publishing, journalism, corporate communications or agency environments
Exceptional English writing and editing skills
Strong experience producing executive-level and business communications
Proven ability to simplify complex ideas into compelling narratives
Experience working with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
Strong understanding of content, marketing, social and communications disciplines
Experience in publishing, journalism, media, corporate communications or integrated agencies
Experience working in bilingual Chinese-English environments
Familiarity with Hong Kong and regional business environments
Experience supporting thought leadership, award submissions and executive communications
