About the Role (your why)
At Datacom, our Consulting team works alongside clients to solve complex business challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes through technology, transformation and innovation.
As a Senior Consultant, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of client engagements, working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, shape solutions and support implementation outcomes. You'll bring structure, insight and confidence to projects, helping clients navigate change while building trusted relationships along the way.

What you’ll do
- Partner with clients to understand business challenges, gather requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate and support workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews to elicit business and functional requirements.
- Analyse business processes, document requirements and support solution design activities.
- Work collaboratively with project teams, subject matter experts, vendors and client stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
- Support the implementation of technology and business solutions through coaching, planning, governance, testing and transition activities.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
- Produce high-quality client deliverables, presentations, reports, traceability and project documentation.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and become a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.
- Contribute to proposal responses and thought leadership initiatives where appropriate.
- Support and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Continue to develop your consulting, delivery and leadership capabilities.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of several industries or segments, coupled with strong analytical skills.
- Good understanding of broad business issues and financial acumen.
- Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
- Demonstrated understanding of forecasting, planning and budgeting procedures and principles.
- Working knowledge of information technology systems and business transformation activity.
- Governance, Project delivery and change management principles.
- The technical knowledge to make informed decisions about business risks and vulnerabilities.
What you’ll bring
Required experience:
- 5-10 years’ experience in consulting, client engagement/project delivery, and/or business transformation.
- 5-10 years’ experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops and documenting business processes.
- Experience contributing to software implementation, transformation and technology delivery projects.
- Experience producing client-facing deliverables and presentations.
- Assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Working knowledge of governance, project and change management frameworks in delivery practice.
- Degree qualified in relevant field.
