Art Director at Czarnowski Collective in Plano, TX

The Company:

Czarnowski is one of the four studios of the Czarnowski Collective. It combines operations, strategy, design, and fabrication to create exhibits and events that engage communities, generate brand enthusiasm, and educate consumers. It’s been over 75 years since we opened our doors, but we’re still not resting on our reputation or accolades. We’re wondering “what if...” anticipating what’s next and embracing our role within the Czarnowski Collective as forward-thinkers for forward-thinking brands.

Joining the Czarnowski Collective means the opportunity to be more than a number, more than a job title, more than a spectator. We are a collective of dreamers and thinkers, doers, and makers…and we’re searching for more of the same to join the ranks.

The Purpose:

The Art Director is a creative professional who works alongside and supports the Creative Director by guiding the visual and narrative aspects of a wide range of projects. This role blends experiential design, 2D graphic design, and digital design to shape how brands are expressed across environments, campaigns, and content. The Art Director ensures every creative output tells a cohesive, emotionally resonant story that connects audiences to the brand on both visual and experiential levels.

The Job:

• Storytelling Through Design: Champion storytelling as the foundation of all creative work. Transform strategic insights into visual narratives that evoke emotion, drive engagement, and bring brand stories to life across experiential, digital, and graphic platforms.
• **Visual Conceptualization:**Collaborate with creative, strategy, and production teams to conceptualize and develop compelling visual ideas for experiential activations, 2D design systems, digital campaigns, and brand environments.
• Experiential Design: Create immersive visual experiences for events, installations, and brand activations. Work closely with spatial designers and producers to ensure each environment communicates a clear story and supports audience engagement.
• 2D Graphic Design: Design high-impact 2D assets for both physical and digital applications—such as environmental graphics, mockups, signage, campaign key visuals, and print materials—that extend the brand story across every touchpoint.
• **Brand Consistency:**Ensure all creative executions reinforce the brand’s visual identity and tone of voice, maintaining cohesion across experiential, environmental, and digital channels.
• **User Experience (UX) Design:**Help oversee the creation of user-centric digital interfaces, ensuring that they are visually appealing and provide an intuitive user experience.
• Content, Social Media & Marketing Integration: Develop creative systems and content approaches that extend experiential and brand campaigns across social media, digital marketing, email, web, and paid media channels. Partner with strategy, account, and marketing teams to ensure campaign narratives transition seamlessly from pre-event awareness through live engagement and post-event amplification, creating a connected brand experience across all audience touchpoints.
• **Artwork Creation:**Produce original graphics, illustrations, and compositions that visually express the brand narrative and enhance emotional connection.
• **Project Management:**Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, managing timelines, priorities, and creative resources to deliver exceptional results.
• **Quality Control:**Review and approve design work, providing feedback and revisions as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
• **Creative Innovation:**Stay current on cultural and technological trends in design, storytelling, and experiential media, bringing innovative thinking and fresh perspectives to every project.
