Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Screen Room / Reclaim Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for preparing, reclaiming, coating, and processing screens used in textile screen printing operations. While previous screen printing experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow within the industry.
Entry level Machine Operator Role in the screen printing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Learn the fundamentals of textile screen printing and screen preparation.
- Understand various screen meshes and their applications.
- Remove tape and scrape used screens to prepare them for reclaiming.
- Operate the automatic screen reclaiming machine, including loading screens, monitoring the process, and rinsing screens upon completion.
- Operate the screen coating machine as needed.
- Learn and operate the Computer-to-Screen (CTS) imaging system.
- Learn and operate the automatic rinse-out/developer system.
- Tape and block out developed screens after they have been rinsed and dried.
- Inspect screens for quality and readiness before production use.
Desired Background/Skills:
- Previous experience in textile screen printing preferred, but not required.
- Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience is a plus.
- Ability to learn new equipment, processes, and technology.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
