Job Description
Summary: Cornerstone Research is a firm that provides economic and financial analysis in commercial litigation. They are offering a six-week Imagine Internship Program for rising seniors to explore various corporate functions and gain hands-on experience in HR processes and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Shadowing, executing, and coordinating key HR projects to learn and understand internal and external processes such as the full employee lifecycle HR processes. Through partnering with the HR Team, you will:
- Understand the operational structure of the organization and the key roles HR plays within a Consulting Firm
- Learn about the recruitment process
- Learn about how we benchmark for a new position
- Learn about the immigration process
- Learn about the new hire process and the I-9 verification process
- Understand our Learning platform and process
- Shadow a new hire benefits orientation
- Provide a range of administrative support to the HR team, such as:
- Supporting mid-year compliance filings
- Completing Employment Verification Letters
- Ensuring employee records are standardized
- Maintaining databases and spreadsheets
- Assist with specialized HR projects tailored to current departmental needs, with opportunities to focus on Employee Engagement, Employee Career Development, Workday Optimization, or Employee Onboarding enhancements
- Understand the HR department’s role in collaborating with other firm departments, such as Facilities, Finance, IT, and Talent
- Assist with other tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Entering your senior year of an undergraduate degree; with an expected graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027
- Demonstrated interest in Human Resources through coursework, campus club participation, prior internships, volunteer work or other similar activities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Must be willing to participate in the full 6-week program from June 29, 2026 – August 7, 2026
- Must live within commuting distance of the Cornerstone Research office, where the intern position will be located
