Connor Leonard Labour Solutions Ltd is taking on a trainee setting out engineer to work on building and civil engineering sites around Dublin.

No experience needed. We train you on the job, beside our engineers, on the total station, GNSS, levels and AutoCAD, until you can set out on your own.

What setting out is

Setting out means taking the positions and levels off the drawings and marking them on the ground, so that foundations, walls, drainage and roads are built where the drawing says. It is the job that sits between the drawing office and the site.

What we offer

- €35,000 a year to start, rising as you learn the work

- Full training on the total station, GNSS, levels and AutoCAD

- Sites in and around Dublin, no driving licence needed

- Working beside experienced setting out engineers from day one

Who we are looking for

- Someone comfortable with numbers and drawings. A construction background, a PLC or college course in construction, engineering or architectural technology, or site experience as an operative all suit

- Willing to work outdoors in all weathers

- Reliable timekeeping. This is site work with early starts

- Safe Pass, or willing to get one

You must have an existing right to live and work in Ireland. We cannot sponsor employment permits.
