Job Description
Data & Market Intelligence Analyst
Part-Time, Remote
About the Role
Our technology services client is seeking a part-time Data & Market Intelligence Analyst to help turn market information into better business-development decisions. This role combines market research, Clay enrichment, HubSpot data management, target-account development, trigger monitoring, list segmentation, data quality, and light workflow automation.
You will be the intelligence engine behind several growth programs. This is not a list-building role alone: we are looking for someone who can identify the right organizations and decision-makers, maintain trustworthy data, monitor changes in the market, and recognize when the information points to a larger opportunity.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain target-account and decision-maker lists across priority markets.
- Own day-to-day Clay workflows for research, enrichment, segmentation, validation, and campaign-ready data.
- Maintain and improve HubSpot company and contact data, field quality, associations, duplicate management, and campaign readiness.
- Monitor market triggers such as leadership changes, expansions, closures, incidents, regulatory or accreditation activity, procurement signals, funding, hiring, and vendor changes.
- Research healthcare, government/public safety, rural and distributed organizations, technology services, and other approved markets.
- Support bounced-email remediation and identify corrected or alternate contacts before records re-enter outreach.
- Create segments, reports, and recurring intelligence summaries that support outreach and account strategy.
- Identify patterns in the data and proactively recommend accounts, markets, or campaign ideas worth further review.
- Build or improve light automations using Clay, HubSpot, Zapier, or similar tools where they reduce manual work without sacrificing data quality.
- Document research criteria, data rules, field mappings, workflow logic, and troubleshooting steps.
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of relevant experience in market intelligence, GTM/revenue operations, sales operations, marketing operations, business development operations, CRM/data operations, or a similar role.
- Hands-on Clay experience (required).
- Hands-on HubSpot experience (required).
- Strong internet and business research skills, with good judgment about source quality.
- Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience with enrichment, data cleanup, normalization, deduplication, field mapping, and list segmentation.
- Comfort working independently in a small, fast-moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the larger business question.
- The ability to recognize patterns and say, “I found something here that may be worth acting on,” and then explain why.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Zapier, Make, Apollo, Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, LeanData, Outreach, Salesloft, Workato, Crossbeam, or similar GTM tools.
- Experience in technology services, healthcare, public sector, government contracting, telecom, SaaS, staffing, or other B2B environments.
- Experience with account-based research, trigger monitoring, market mapping, or campaign analytics.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools for research or enrichment while maintaining human validation and data governance.
What Success Looks Like
- We have cleaner, more reliable HubSpot and Clay data.
- Target lists are validated, segmented, and ready for outreach.
- Important market and account triggers are surfaced consistently rather than discovered by accident.
- Leadership spends less time manually researching contacts and correcting data.
- You regularly surface useful patterns, opportunities, and workflow improvements that strengthen business development.
