Summary: Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking an Education Program Coordinator to support departmental master's and doctoral education programs. The role coordinates courses, certificates, student practice placements, alumni relations, curriculum committees, events, budgets, and education-related communications.

Responsibilities:
- Work with faculty instructors to prepare courses and provide teaching assistant support for courses throughout the semester - 25%
- Support department-based Certificates with seminars, events, budgets, expense management, and curricular review and updates - 15%
- Support the MPH student Applied Practice Experience (APEx) program placements and related culminating Master’s Student Day events - 25%
- Manage Epi Department alumni relations, including networking opportunities for current students and recruiting alumni for participation in department events – 15%
- Support the department’s Master’s and Curriculum Committees, including attending meetings, note-taking, reviewing and preparing course syllabi for schoolwide approval, updating department website with education-related material - 15%
- Perform other related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested, including supporting special education initiatives – 5%

Required Qualifications:
- • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:
- • A Masters degree preferably in Epidemiology or other field of Public Health, and an interest in Public Health education
- • The successful candidate must possess a high level of initiative, organization, ability to multi-task, and excellent written and oral communication skills
- Other critical skills include ability to anticipate obstacles and pro-actively and creatively problem-solve, interpersonal skills, and flexibility in dealing with a range of working styles and competing demands
