Job Description
Summary: CNF Technologies is seeking Software Developers at various levels to deliver secure coding and DevSecOps practices in support of mission operations. This role involves driving technical direction across multiple efforts, ensuring alignment with mission and security objectives throughout the development cycle of cyberspace capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement DevSecOps pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes tailored to compartmented intelligence environments
- Perform secure software assessments, code analysis, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, and remediation to identify and mitigate risks in new/existing software
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior developers, conducting peer code reviews, guiding secure development practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Translate mission requirements into secure software solutions, develop prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and production-grade code supporting national security objectives
- Ensure deliverables comply with DoD cybersecurity policies, supply chain risk mitigation, and documentation for authorization to operate (ATO) systems
Required Qualifications:
- Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience in software development, developing secure applications, DoD cyberspace operations, cybersecurity tools, and mission-critical systems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Knowledge of secure coding principles, software development lifecycle (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and tools for code analysis, debugging, and testing
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, risk management, vulnerabilities assessment, and integration of security features like encryption and access controls into software
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to work in a secure facility and willingness to undergo CI polygraph examinations and background investigations in compliance with all DoD policies and operational security standards
- Must comply with DoD Manual 8140.03 requirements for the Software Developer (DCWF Work Role 621) or equivalent cyberspace role
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related STEM field for Junior Software Developer
- 0–3 years of professional software development experience for Junior Software Developer
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field for Intermediate Software Developer
- 3–10 years of professional software development experience for Intermediate Software Developer
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field for Senior Software Developer
- 10+ years of professional software development experience for Senior Software Developer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher strongly preferred for Senior Software Developer
- Some exposure to DoD/cyberspace systems for Intermediate Software Developer
