Climbing Star
Physical Therapist (PT) - $130-150/hr -… at Climbing Star · New York
Job Description
We have PT cases in Manhattan ready to start now and we're looking for a licensed PT to pick them up.
There are children waiting in East Harlem (10029), Harlem (10037) and on the Upper West Side (10023). Three of the four are uptown and close to each other, which matters when you're getting from one home to the next. The hours on these cases are already approved and funded, most of them running two to three more years, so you're not waiting on referrals or hoping a caseload fills up.
A lot of our therapists do this alongside a school or clinic job. Most of these families want sessions after school or in the early evening, so it usually fits around a weekday position.
Pay is $130 to $150 an hour, 1099. You tell us which days you can work and which neighborhoods you want, and we give you the cases that fit. Take one, take all of them, up to you.
The work: one-on-one PT in the child's home, working on the gross motor goals in their plan. You write up your sessions and keep in touch with the parents. One child at a time, no groups and no double-booking.
What we take care of: scheduling, authorizations, the DOE paperwork and all the back-and-forth that comes with it. Home visits can feel like you're on your own out there. You won't be. Call us and you get a person, not a portal.
What you need: an active New York State PT license. If you've done DOE, CPSE, EI or preschool work before that helps, but plenty of good therapists haven't and we'll walk you through how it runs here.
Climbing Star works with children in their homes across the five boroughs. When you apply, someone here reads it and calls you.
Tell us when you're free and where you'd like to work and we'll go from there.
Pay: $130.00 - $150.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
