We’re seeking a Data Governance Analyst II, this role supports the implementation and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
About the role:
Data Governance Operations
Assist in the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across assigned business areas.
Monitor data quality measurements to ensure adherence to established data governance requirements.
Partner with data stewards and stakeholders to identify and help resolve routine data quality issues.
Documentation
Review and update data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata repositories under the guidance of senior team members.
Contribute to documenting data definitions, data lineage, and foundational governance artifacts that support consistency and transparency.
Training
Support the delivery of data governance training, communications, and awareness initiatives.
Assist in preparing educational materials that help business users understand governance processes, roles, and expectations.
Data Audits & Reporting
Conduct data audits by collecting information, performing basic assessments, and documenting findings.
Draft reports and summaries of data governance activities for review by senior governance team members.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Represent data governance considerations during discussions with business areas by gathering needs, identifying data challenges, and escalating concerns appropriately.
Support alignment between business data needs and the organization’s governance practices.
What you will need
2 years of relevant experience required experience in data management or data governance preferred
Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
