Why This Role Matters

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you’ll be more than a repair expert—you’ll also represent Cavalry with professionalism, honesty, and a focus on customer care. This role requires both technical ability and people skills: you’ll diagnose and repair appliances, read schematics, troubleshoot creatively, and also recommend solutions, explain repairs, and identify sales opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Research and interpret schematics to solve complex problems.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Provide accurate repair estimates, explain options to customers, and process payments.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and reports.
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences by being friendly, respectful, and professional.

What We’re Looking For

• Technical aptitude: Strong mechanical, electrical, and computer skills. Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot independently.

• Problem-solving mindset: Curiosity and persistence when faced with technical challenges.

• Professionalism: Clear communication and excellent in-person skills; ability to explain solutions with confidence.

• Sales orientation: Willingness to identify opportunities for additional services and educate customers on repair and replacement options.

• Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
• • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• • Must pass drug and background check
• • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance
• • Comfortable with tablet-based technology and report completion
• • Self-motivated and dependable, with strong time management

Why Join Cavalry?

• Training & Growth: We support our technicians with ongoing education.
• Work-Life Balance: Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends.
• Benefits: Paid time off (including your birthday), retirement plan with matching contributions, performance-based bonuses.
• Tools Provided: Service van, uniforms, specialized tools, smartphone, and tablet.

Compensation

Competitive pay with performance-based bonuses and the opportunity to increase earnings through strong sales and excellent customer service.

Compensation: $36,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year

As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.

You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too.

Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
