Per Diem Substitute Teacher – Ongoing Vacancy

Carmel Central School District is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Per Diem Substitute Teachers on an as-needed basis throughout the district.

Per Diem Substitute Teachers provide classroom coverage when regular teachers are absent. Assignments are available based on district needs and substitute availability.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
• Maintaining a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment
• Supervising students throughout the school day
• Following established classroom and school procedures
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Per Diem Rate:

NYS Certified Substitute Teacher: $150 per day Non-Certified Substitute Teacher: $125 per day

Schedule: Per diem/as needed. Substitutes may accept available assignments based on their availability.

This is an ongoing vacancy. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a continuous basis as substitute needs arise.
