Job Description
Summary: CAI is a global technology services firm with over 8,500 associates worldwide. As a Software Developer Intern, you will design and customize software for client use, aiming to optimize operational efficiency while developing new features and maintaining existing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs of low complexity
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
- Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
- Code and modify applications, from layout to function
- Develop new features, enhance, support, and maintain existing applications
- Debug identified issues and provide solutions
- Develop and support systems, solutions, components, and enhancements of low complexity
- Code new functionality according to specifications
- Write testable, efficient code by using software development best practices
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedure and strategy
- Assist in the development of documentation
- Collaborate with others to determine design specifications and details
- Stay current on new technologies and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related area
- Current Junior with 3.5 GPA or higher
- Analytically minded
- Experience with various programming languages
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to interact with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming techniques
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with relational databases
- Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Self-starter
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Java
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with Visual Studio
