Maintenance Mechanic

Summary: Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in support of the site in Berkeley, MO. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining aviation ground support equipment, perform daily inspections, and ensure facility cleanliness while managing inventory control of support equipment. Responsibilities: - Assist in maintaining aviation ground support equipment. Perform daily inspections and complete associated paperwork. Maintain maintenance periodic inspection plan and perform tasks to plan - Maintain facility cleanliness by using powered and un-powered cleaning equipment - Assist in maintaining inventory control of support equipment. Maintain support equipment facility - Assist in planning and performing unusual and difficult work where standard or recognized inspection methods may not be available - Assist in performing a sequence of operations where standard methods may not be available. Care and judgment to fit and adjust parts and assemblies to requirements and specifications - Assist in performing a sequence of operations where standard methods may or may not be available. Considerable judgment necessary to perform complicated operations Required Qualifications: - 1+ years of experience in Production Equipment Maintenance - Work independently with minimal supervision - This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship - An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required Preferred Qualifications: - 1+ years of experience in Ground Support Equipment Maintenance - Experience specific to military fighter Ground Support Equipment (GSE) - Forklift Certified Required Skills: Production Equipment Maintenance, Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Important Skills: Mechanic Machine Repair, Forklift Certified Nice-to-Have Skills: Work Independently Benefits: Health insurance, Flexible spending accounts, Health savings accounts, Retirement savings plans, Life and disability insurance programs, Programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work
