A leading global electrical and digital building infrastructure business, specialising in intelligent lighting controls, electrical products and smart building technologies.

What You Will Do

We are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer on an initial 6-12 month temporary contract to support the R&D team with mechanical design and product development. You will be responsible for designing and developing plastic components and enclosures for electronic devices, taking products through the design and development process. The ideal candidate will have experience within the lighting controls sector, although we are also keen to hear from more senior engineers with a strong background in designing and delivering plastic-moulded electronic products.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical design using Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong experience designing plastic components and injection-moulded products.
• Experience designing enclosures or housings for electronic devices.
• Ideally, experience within lighting controls or the wider electrical/electronics sector.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of design projects, including being able to present work.

Package and Benefits

• £65,000-£80,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
• Initial 6-12 month temporary contract.
• Based in Ealing, London.
