Qualifications and Requirements:
- Meet Pennsylvania paraprofessional standards: associate degree, at least 48 college credits, or a qualifying score on the ParaPro, CDA, or PaTTAN credentialing exam
- Completion of mandatory clearances: drug screening, PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Criminal History, FBI Fingerprinting
- Willingness to complete 20 hours of annual job-related professional development
- Previous experience as a school or Pre-K paraprofessional is highly valued
- Collaborative, patient, and adaptable approach to working with teachers and young learners
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support for Pre-K students under the direction of certified educators
- Adapt to various assignments, starting with a medical leave coverage at the main office, then transitioning to 'floating' duties across district buildings
- Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and daily activities, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for students
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Support the diverse needs of learners, including accommodations and individualized attention
