A Business Analyst (BA) to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical data teams, translating organizational reporting needs into structured data warehouse requirements and technical specifications. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who enjoys working with large datasets, translating complex business requirements into technical solutions, and driving data-led digital transformation initiatives.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, BI teams, and project managers to design, implement, and optimise data-driven solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and solution design phases of digital transformation initiatives.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand current business processes, reporting environments, and system architecture.
• Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology and automation.
• Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements through workshops and stakeholder engagements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, Data Modelers, and BI teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Design financial and operational reporting models that provide meaningful business insights.
• Analyse complex data flows and understand how transactions impact financial and operational reporting.
• Perform data profiling, data quality assessments, and data scoping activities.
• Identify system gaps, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support the rollout of new technical solutions and business process changes.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations to support business decision-making.
• Recommend enhancements to systems, reporting, and business processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business users.
• Drive automation and optimisation of manual reporting and operational processes.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of all data delivered within solutions.
• Verify that warehouse outputs, reports, and Power BI/Tableau dashboards accurately reflect the underlying business logic.

Pay: R700,00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week

Experience:

• data warehousing project: 3 years (Preferred)
