About the Role:

• As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• You will be responsible for assisting with patient evaluations, treatment plans, and interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• You will also maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in conducting patient evaluations and developing treatment plans
• Implement and modify treatment interventions, including exercises, stretches, and modalities, to achieve established goals
• Provide patient education and training on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and self-care strategies
• Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to treatment plan updates
• Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies from an accredited program
• Current PTA licensure in the state of Florida
• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred
• Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients of varying weights and abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
