Business Development Manager at BDA, Inc in Charleston, WV

Business Development Manager – Referral Partnerships

Charleston, WV | Restoration Industry Referral Network

$55,000–$65,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

Six-Figure Income Potential | Health Insurance | 401(k) Match

You've spent time in this market. You know a property manager or two. Maybe an adjuster, a plumber, a GC who always picks up when you call.

Most jobs never ask what those relationships are worth. This one does.

Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration is looking for someone in the Charleston area to turn a professional network — existing or newly built — into a steady stream of business for a company people already trust when something goes wrong.

Why These Relationships Pay Off

A property manager doesn't oversee one unit — often dozens, sometimes hundreds. An insurance adjuster doesn't handle one claim a year — they handle a caseload. A plumber runs into water damage on a regular basis, not once.

That means a single relationship in this business isn't worth one job. It's worth a repeat referral source. Build ten of those, and you've built something that keeps producing long after the introduction meeting is over.

This is the math behind the role: fewer cold transactions, more compounding relationships.

The People You'll Get to Know

• Property Managers

• Insurance Agents & Adjusters

• Plumbing Contractors

• Facility Managers

• General Contractors

• Commercial Property Professionals

• Business Owners

• Other professional referral partners

If you already know people in a few of these categories, you have a head start. If you don't yet, Panhandle will train you on how to find and build those relationships from scratch.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Introducing yourself and Panhandle to new referral partners — in person, not just by email

• Having real conversations to understand what a partner needs from a restoration vendor

• Showing up at industry and networking events where these relationships are made

• Keeping every contact, conversation, and opportunity organized in CRM

• Working a structured weekly plan instead of chasing whatever comes up

• Checking in on existing partners consistently, not just when you need something

• Handing off active projects cleanly to the operations team

This is still sales. Relationships open the door, but you're expected to walk through it, follow up, and produce results.

How You'll Know It's Working

• Your list of active referral partners keeps growing

• Partners start reaching out to you first, instead of the other way around

• Your pipeline has consistent, qualified activity in it — not just one big deal

• Referrals repeat instead of drying up after the first job

• Your income climbs as your network matures

A Network Is Only as Good as the Company Behind It

Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration is family-owned and growing quickly, specializing in fire and water restoration and mold remediation. That matters here because the relationships you build are only valuable if the company backing them delivers.

Panhandle has already invested in the training, sales systems, marketing support, and dedicated sales management that make it easier for your referral partners to keep trusting you — and easier for you to keep bringing them business worth referring.

Bring Your Network. Or Build One Here.

Either way, this is a role where the relationships you make are the asset you're building — and Panhandle pays for that asset to grow.

Apply today and submit your resume. Qualified candidates will be invited to complete an online questionnaire as the next step.

Is This You?

• You already have some relationships in property management, insurance, plumbing, or commercial real estate — or you're comfortable building them from nothing

• You'd rather earn trust over several conversations than push for a single close

• You're organized enough to follow up on every relationship, not just the easy ones

• You want to be measured and coached, not left to guess if you're doing well

• You're motivated by income that grows as your network grows

• You're comfortable being the face of a company in your market

Background We're Looking For

Proven B2B or outside sales experience is a plus, though not the only path in. Experience working with property managers, insurance professionals, adjusters, plumbers, contractors, or commercial property owners is valuable — but not required.

Restoration industry experience is not required. Panhandle will train you on the technical side. What matters more is whether you're someone people trust quickly.

• Professional sales training

• Ongoing sales management & coaching

• CRM & sales systems
