For you, delivering tested software means more than just finding bugs; it is about producing a high-quality product that truly solves the needs of the users.
Our geospatial software team develops cutting-edge mapping and analysis tools that transform complex data into actionable intelligence. As a Geospatial Software Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the software development lifecycle, ensuring our products are robust and mission-ready.
As a Geospatial Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of critical geospatial software used in support of the Intelligence Community (IC) mission. In this role, you will blend technical software testing expertise with deep geospatial analysis knowledge to identify defects, automate testing processes, and ensure software compliance with government specifications.
Your primary goal is to deliver defect-free software that meets rigorous government standards and operational requirements. On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Create and conduct both automated and manual testing on the system to confirm that user stories meet acceptance criteria, validating the fit to need and verifying that systems perform as intended.
- Perform SOCET GXP features testing, utilizing your experience in creating features data and working with geodatabases.
- Maintain and administer the organization’s Esri Enterprise environment and PostgreSQL databases, including software upgrades, licensing, user management, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with developers throughout the feature lifecycle by supporting development environments, evaluating new Esri capabilities, and ensuring new functionality aligns with GIS best practices and industry standards.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and develop automated test scripts to increase efficiency and ensure accuracy across various coordinate systems and projections.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot bugs and participate in sprint reviews to ensure every feature meets the end-user's needs before deployment.
