Account Executive – Software Sales – Vienna at b2match in Wien, W

Are you an ambitious B2B sales professional who enjoys building relationships, understanding customer needs, and turning opportunities into customers? Do you want to take ownership of the sales cycle and grow your expertise in selling B2B software? If so, b2match is looking for you!

About the Role

As an Account Executive, you will drive b2match's new business growth by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective customers into long-term partners.

You will own the sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through discovery, product demonstrations, negotiation, and closing. You will work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to understand customer needs, deliver a strong buying experience, and continuously improve our approach to the market.

This is a role for a sales professional who already has a strong foundation in B2B sales and is ready to take on broader ownership and develop further within a software sales environment.

What You'll Do

• Own the sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through discovery, product demonstrations, negotiation, and close.
• Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers at prospective client organizations.
• Understand customer pain points and position b2match's event management software as the right solution for their needs.
• Conduct discovery calls and deliver product demonstrations, tailoring the conversation and solution to each prospect's needs.
• Guide prospects through the buying process, from initial conversation to close.
• Identify and test new markets, segments, and outreach approaches to expand b2match's customer base.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Keep pipeline and forecast data accurate and up to date in the CRM.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Customer Success, and Product, to sharpen messaging and improve the customer journey.
• Continuously learn from sales activity, customer feedback, and market insights to improve your approach and results.

What You'll Focus on in the First 90 Days

• Get up to speed on b2match's product, ideal customer profile, competitive landscape, and sales process.
• Build a qualified pipeline of prospective accounts.
• Run discovery calls to understand prospects' needs, business challenges, decision-making processes, and buying criteria.
• Start managing opportunities through the sales cycle, including delivering product demonstrations, and close your first deals.
• Establish a consistent and repeatable prospecting, follow-up, and opportunity management cadence.
• Partner with Customer Success and Marketing to ensure a smooth transition from new business opportunity to customer.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related B2B commercial role, ideally in B2B SaaS, tech, or the IT sector.
• Experience managing sales conversations and opportunities independently, with the motivation to continue developing your full-cycle sales skills.
• You don't need to have sold software throughout your entire career: we are looking for someone with a strong sales foundation, curiosity, commercial drive, and the ability to learn quickly.
• C1/C2 or native-level German and professional fluency in English (C1 or higher); proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Strong soft skills: communication, active listening, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building.
• A consultative, results-driven approach with a strong commercial mindset and a track record of achieving measurable results.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Based in Vienna.
