Job Description
Summary: Axiom Space is building the world’s first commercial space station, Axiom Station, fostering innovation and research in microgravity. They are seeking a dynamic intern to support the development team with design, analysis, testing, and evaluation tasks related to commercial human spaceflight modules.
Responsibilities:
- Support development team with tasks related to design, analysis, test, and evaluation
- Perform analysis and testing to support component or system development
- Perform analysis, develop models, and procedures to support development of structures and mechanisms for commercial human spaceflight modules
- Document design, analysis, and test output to support review and approval of system development
- Present results of tests and evaluations to technical teams
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Rising Junior or Senior or Advanced Degree (MS/MA or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
