About the role: We are seeking an experienced Sterilisation Technician to join our dedicated Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) team. This full-time role is responsible for providing high-quality sterilisation and reprocessing services to support our ophthalmology practice.

What you'll be doing:

• Carefully cleaning, decontaminating and sterilising medical equipment and surgical instruments
• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organisation
• Ensuring all sterilisation processes comply with relevant standards and regulations
• Assisting with the assembly and packing of sterile instrument sets
• Keeping detailed records of all sterilisation activities
• Collaborating with the clinical team to address any sterilisation or reprocessing issues
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of CSSD operations

What we're looking for:

• Formal qualification in Sterilisation Technology (NZ Certificate in Sterilising Technology (level 3)
• Minimum 1 years of experience working as a Sterilisation Technician - ideally in a medical or healthcare setting
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety
• Full drivers lisence as this role will have to drive to our outer clinics
• Ability to follow complex protocols and procedures with a high degree of accuracy
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with healthcare professionals
