Job Description
The Application Analyst bridges business operations and technology by supporting, configuring, and improving the enterprise application platforms used across the department. This role is responsible for day-to-day application support, configuration management, requirements gathering, and user enablement across platforms including Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, SC Plan, and SC Trace. The Application Analyst partners closely with engineering, delivery, and business stakeholders to ensure applications meet operational needs and that issues are resolved quickly and documented thoroughly. Responsibilities
Application Support & Troubleshooting
- Serve as a first-line support resource for enterprise application issues — triaging, diagnosing, and resolving or routing problems efficiently
- Support business-critical operational cycles including month-end close, go-live events, and time-sensitive processing windows
- Document issues, resolutions, and workarounds; contribute to a shared knowledge base for recurring problems
Configuration & Enhancements
- Perform application configuration, setup, and minor enhancements within platforms such as Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, or supply chain tools
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and configuration changes, partnering with engineering as needed for development work
- Coordinate and support change management activities associated with application updates, including testing and user communication
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Work with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements for application changes and new functionality
- Analyze existing system behavior to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare functional specifications, process diagrams, and supporting documentation for engineering and delivery teams
Testing & Quality
- Develop and execute functional test cases for configuration changes, enhancements, and system updates
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders, tracking feedback and ensuring sign-off before go-live
- Partner with QA team members to ensure testing coverage aligns with defined quality standards
Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Must-Have)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience supporting, configuring, or analyzing enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to diagnose application issues and assess the business impact of system behavior
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, creating functional specifications, or producing process documentation
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with both technical teams and non-technical business users
- Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple support requests and project tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, or supply chain platforms (SC Plan, SC Trace, or similar)
- Familiarity with Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) or other in-app training and enablement tools
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) or coordinating business-side testing activities
- Basic SQL knowledge for data lookup, validation, and troubleshooting support
- Exposure to agile delivery environments (SAFe, Scrum, or similar)
- Background in supply chain, energy, or industrial technology domains
Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
