Business Development Representative at Articore Group · Gurgaon

We are looking for a highly organized, process-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. This is a key role in helping us increase top-of-funnel lead volume and free up our sales closers to focus on driving revenue and a ramp-up to a sales role.

As a BDR, you will manage the administrative and operational side of our lead management process – from importing leads from third-party sources into Salesforce to qualifying them based on predefined criteria. Your goal is to quickly and accurately determine which leads are worth forwarding to the sales team for follow-up, ensuring only high-potential leads reach the closers.

With this role, the goal is to be promoted to a sales outreach rep within 6-12 months, so candidates need to be comfortable with the idea of having conversations over the phone with potential clients and be interested in sales. Previous sales experience is not required.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead Importing & Management

  • Export leads from third-party sources (e.g., Influencers Club) and import them into Salesforce.
  • Maintain clean, up-to-date lead records by updating owners, statuses, and removing duplicates.
  • Enroll or unenroll leads from Marketo and other automated flows as needed.

• Lead Qualification

  • Review lead profiles, social media accounts, and engagement metrics.
  • Qualify leads according to our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and internal scoring framework (e.g., follower count, engagement rate).
  • Forward qualified leads (scores 3–4) to the closing team for next steps.
  • Discard or deprioritize low-quality leads (scores 1–2) per agreed process.

• Process Execution

  • Follow a detailed set of SOPs and maintain high throughput.
  • Ensure timely processing of replies so that closers can act on qualified leads quickly.
  • Assist with light data entry and other admin tasks related to the lead funnel.

• Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with the Sales and Ops teams to ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Flag any process bottlenecks or recurring issues.
  • Participate in onboarding sessions and receive training on Salesforce, Marketo, and our qualification criteria.

• Background

  • Experience in customer support, data entry, or other operational/administrative roles with a high task volume.

• Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfort working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred, training provided).
  • Ability to follow SOPs and maintain speed without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Basic analytical skills and critical thinking to evaluate lead quality.

• Traits

  • Process-driven and structured thinker.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

• Tech Setup

  • Reliable internet and a computer capable of handling high-volume CRM work (avoidance of performance issues with virtual desktops preferred).

• Hours: 12:30 PM IST - 9:30 PM IST

Please note: This is a 6 month contract role with potential to extend based on performance.
