This posting is for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Instructor based in Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; Hillsboro, OR; or Phoenix, AZ. This position combines the responsibilities of a technical instructor and technical expert for both existing and new products.

The position requires work within the business unit (BU) manufacturing environment and development lab to learn new products under development, gain experience with tool startup and sustaining production tasks, and develop and deliver initial classroom and hands-on training for the tool.

Once the tool transitions to volume production, the NPI Instructor will train and certify the volume instructor, who will then assume training ownership of the product.

The position requires learning and applying knowledge across three areas:

(1) training fundamentals;

(2) existing products; and

(3) new product training development.

Training fundamentals will cover the methodology, tools, materials, and confidence needed to deliver both Live Distance Learning (LDL) and Instructor-Led Training (ILT), including hands-on course delivery.

Existing product training begins with basic operations and maintenance, followed by troubleshooting and diagnostics, and eventually progresses to mastery of the tool. New product training development requires content development and project management skills to help bring a new tool design from concept to reality through the development of comprehensive training curricula, student guides, and supporting materials and technologies.

Due to PDP/NPI product development schedules, the NPI Instructor will often be researching, gaining knowledge and experience, and developing and delivering training for several new tools/chambers simultaneously. Therefore, project management skills, training/presentation experience, and strong technical acumen in semiconductor equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, are required.
