ANC is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Coordinator to lead shutdown planning and coordination across the mill. Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, this role also provides planning support to the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams, engineering, and operations.

The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator brings structure and coordination to weekly, bimonthly, and major spring and fall shutdowns while supporting maintenance programs, contractor activities, materials planning, and the mill's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

The Role

The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator owns the mill's shutdown planning process and works directly with maintenance technicians, operations, engineering, purchasing, and external contractors to ensure work is properly scoped, scheduled, coordinated, and ready for execution.

This role combines:

• CMMS ownership and data discipline
• problem-solving, analysis, and cross-functional leadership

The position plays a central role in connecting people, work, materials, and systems so shutdown and maintenance activities can be completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Shutdown Planning & Coordination

• Lead shutdown planning and coordination for the mill
• Plan and schedule weekly and bimonthly shutdowns, including major spring and fall shutdowns
• Work directly with maintenance technicians to scope and plan shutdown work
• Lead the shutdown planning team and coordinate input from maintenance, engineering, operations, purchasing, and contractors

Maintenance Programs & CMMS

• Support the development and implementation of preventive and routine maintenance programs
• Serve as owner of the mill's CMMS and support effective use of the system
• Maintain accurate parts and cost information in the CMMS

Materials & Contractor Coordination

• Partner with Purchasing to assess spare-parts criticality and support obsolescence planning
• Manage external contractors performing building maintenance, sheet metal, and scaffolding work

What Success Looks Like

• Shutdown scopes and schedules are complete, practical, and ready for execution
• Maintenance, engineering, operations, purchasing, and contractors are aligned on work priorities and requirements
• CMMS information is accurate, current, and supports effective planning
• Preventive and routine maintenance programs continue to strengthen
• Critical spare-parts and obsolescence risks are identified and addressed proactively

What You Bring

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance and/or planning experience
• An Engineering degree, Engineering Technology diploma, Journeyperson Millwright certification, or a related trade qualification
• Demonstrated experience using CMMS and maintenance planning systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or comparable project-planning software
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
• Leadership skills and the ability to lead a cross-functional shutdown planning team
• Hands-on mechanical experience is considered an asset
• Pulp and paper experience is considered an asset
• Planning or project management certification is considered an asset
