Kitchen Operations Intern

Summary: Amy's Kitchen is a family-owned, independent organic food company committed to making it easy and enjoyable for everyone to eat well. The Kitchen Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience while supporting continuous improvement efforts by assisting with Root Cause Analyses related to production issues and contributing to batch sheet updates. Responsibilities: - Assist in conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for recurring production or system aliases - Gather and review production data to support issue investigations - Document findings and support corrective action tracking - Update and revise batch sheets to reflect process improvements or corrections - Collaborate with operations, quality, and other plant teams to ensure accuracy and alignment Required Qualifications: - Attending a four-year college or university to attain a degree in Business, Continuous Improvement or a related field; or already awarded bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university - Clear written communication and documentation skills - Strong attention to detail and organization skills - Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams/SharePoint) - Interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional plant teams - Analytical and problem-solving mindset - Bilingual Required: English and Spanish - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents - Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to plant management and other stakeholders - Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions - Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Required Skills: Root Cause Analysis, Microsoft Office Important Skills: Analytical mindset, Bilingual English, Bilingual Spanish Nice-to-Have Skills: Clear communication, Attention to detail, Interpersonal skills, Problem-solving
