Summary: AMEWAS is a trusted partner of the Department of Defense (DoD) providing engineering, testing, and evaluation for U.S. Navy weapons systems. They are seeking a motivated Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation, focusing on Verification, Validation, and Accreditation of models and simulations. Responsibilities: - Provides support for a large, complex Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) project - Collaborates with Engineers, Software Developers, Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to conduct VV&A of models and simulations that are used to support all aspects of research, development, test and evaluation - Reviews data and creates detailed analysis of the results - Performs a significant amount of high-quality technical writing that informs users of the simulation of its strengths and limitations - Writes VV&A plans/reports - Assists with identifying M&S intended use statements, defining M&S requirements to satisfy the intended uses and generating acceptability criteria to determine if the M&S requirements are met - Conducts M&S risk assessments - Conducts accreditation and V&V activities/tasks - Interfaces with program personnel, Engineers and Subject Matter Experts Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering - Degree obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education - Experience following established processes, procedures and technical guidance with attention to detail and accuracy - The ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats with Engineers, program personnel and Subject Matter Experts - Strong organizational skills - The ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines - Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills - The ability to review information and identify discrepancies or risks - The ability to learn Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) processes and methodologies - The ability to work independently and within a team environment in a professional setting - The ability to support a flexible schedule - Minimum clearance required to apply (candidates who do not currently hold the required clearance will not be considered): N/A - The ability to obtain and maintain the DoD security clearance eligibility and/or additional security access requirements necessary to perform the duties of the position, as required by the contract Preferred Qualifications: - Experience supporting Modeling and Simulation (M&S), efforts - Experience with scripting, databases and programming languages (C++, Python 3 and HTML) - Experience supporting automated testing - DoD experience Required Skills: Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A), Risk assessment, C++, Python 3, HTML, Automated testing, DoD security clearance Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), Life/AD&D/STD/LTD insurance, Paid vacation, holiday and sick leave, Generous tuition and training assistance program, Relocation assistance, Sign-on bonuses, Employee longevity recognition, Community involvement and outreach, Team building events, Recognition program, Wellness program, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Mobile service discount, Fitness reimbursement program, If you’re a current AMEWAS employee and your referral is hired, you could earn a referral bonus!
