Summer 2026 Production Intern

Summary: American Eagle Outfitters Inc. is a leading global specialty retailer known for its beloved apparel brands. The Production Intern will participate in a 10-week immersive internship program, working closely with the production team to monitor fabric development, track production status, and ensure timely delivery of samples and information. Responsibilities: - Interface with Design partners to monitor fabric, trim and wash development; owns approval process - Track and access weekly factory production status reports/ approval status report - Communicate daily with internal/ external partners regarding style development, production and delivery information - Adhere to the calendar; responsible for all sample tracking and to ensure on-time delivery of all development - Sends out PDM and packages to vendors, tracks delivery - Maintain and organize costing records - Maintain and organize style information records - Partners with Coordinators on garment cost, quantity, production planning, sourcing and delivery - Interpret collected information, react appropriately, and communicate with affected parties in a timely manner - Prepares and communicates the agenda for cross functional team meetings; attends meetings - Reviews and measures Fit Samples and TOP sample - Perform other duties as required Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or relevant area of study - Must be in your Junior Academic Year - Graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 - Ability to act as liaison between many departments; excellent communication and analytical skills - Must be detail oriented - Strong ability to multitask - Solution oriented - Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google programs - Ability to be in the New York City area for the Summer - Ability to work in a hybrid environment which will require working in person/in-office for a portion or all of a week based on the needs of the business Required Skills: Fashion Merchandising Important Skills: Microsoft Office, Google Programs Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical Skills, Multitasking, Communication Skills, Detail Oriented Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Generous Associate Discount!, Summer Fridays!, Relocation Assistance for candidates non-local to the city, Volunteer Opportunities, Learning & Development, Career Exploration + Networking Events, Health care benefits (including medical, vision, and dental), Wellness benefits, 401(k) retirement benefits, Life and disability insurance, Employee stock purchase program, Paid time off, Paid sick leave, Parental leave and benefits, Paid Time Off, paid sick leave, and holiday pay vary by job level and type, job location, employment classification (part-time or full-time / exempt or non-exempt), and years of service., AEO may also provide discretionary bonuses and other incentives at its discretion.
