Summary: Amentum is a company focused on providing support for the Space Launch System integrated avionics test facilities. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their tools development team, where the role involves designing and developing software tools for simulating rocket flights and analyzing data. Responsibilities: - Design, development, testing, deployment, and support of software applying organizational/project coding standards - Participate in a software development environment - Create and present detailed software designs - Conduct and participate in design and code reviews - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance goals - Produce weekly and monthly status reports of progress in assigned areas Required Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent related field from an ABET-accredited university is required with 0 to 5 years' experience - Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python and C/C++ [Required] - Proficiency working with Unix/Linux (Unix-like OS structure, file system, shell, secure shell) - Experience with software integration, testing, and troubleshooting - Work in a software development team and independently apply DevOps concepts and Agile Development methodologies - Communicate professionally, speaking and listening, with customers, stakeholders, and cross organizational team members - The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential (100%) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience developing software applications for Linux and Windows environments [Preferred] - Desktop and web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) development experience in React, Qt, and/or JavaScript.
