Job Description
Summary: Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking motivated individuals for Data Center Logistics positions. The Logistics Specialist will manage inventory, process inbound shipments, and coordinate equipment deliveries to Datacenters, ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Drive long distances for up to 10 hours
- Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers
- Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles
- Attend company provided fork lift operator training
- Complete company provided training in driving box trucks up to 26’ in length
- Handle sensitive/classified client materials
- Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally work is in an office environment
- Work overtime as required
- Lift loads of up to 39 pounds and carry them for short distances
- Participate in group lifts of 40 pounds or more
- Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment
- Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
- Push or pull heavy objects into position
- Work in a noisy environment
- Stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of logistics experience
- 1+ years of material forecasting experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- A Valid Driver's License is required
- Ability to drive long distances for up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift loads of up to 39 pounds and carry them for short distances
- Ability to participate in group lifts of 40 pounds or more
- Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of logistics experience
