Job Description
The AWS Startup team works alongside the world's highest-potential startups from conception to exit. Our mission is to ensure that they achieve success by accelerating their scientific, engineering and commercial efforts though our people, technology, knowledge, programs, and relationships.
We are expanding our efforts to help our startup customers grow through a remote and data driven salesforce. As an Account Executive, you are expected to demonstrate a curiosity/eagerness for learning, a customer-first mindset, the ability to solve problems working backwards from goals and to invent and simplify processes. The role requires a keen sense of ownership, scrappiness, initiative, and a track record of executing in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources.
Do you look around corners for ways to engage and service customers? Are you experienced in using technology to solve business problems that have big customer impact?
We are looking for an account manager with a proven track-record in tech sales, building and leading customer acquisition. You bring passion for innovative startups and latest technology trends, especially GenAI, machine learning (ML), and virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR). Your startup customers strive to become the next unicorns and future enterprises within their domain of Generative AI and advanced ML, which may also intersect with Fintech, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Mobility/Automotive and Enterprise SaaS applications.
You should be an autonomous account manager that brings a builder mentality, strategic thinking and a sense of urgency for operational excellence.
You should be a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and excellent communication skills who can work collaboratively with others and is prepared to work in a fun, fast-paced environment, to execute against ambitious goals and to consistently embrace the Amazon Day 1 Culture.
Key job responsibilities
• Ensure customer satisfaction through business value creation.
• Meet or exceed your quarterly and yearly goals.
• Represent the company in professional events.
- Experience in sales/business development
- 8+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
- Master's degree or above in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), or experience in defining and creating benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance
- Experience with partner sales and/or alliance development in the software/technology industry
