Fleet Electrification Planner - Zero-Emission Transition

AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.

We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.

AlphaGov is engaging a Fleet Electrification Planner for current municipal and county zero-emission fleet transition work. You will lead fleet assessments, phased transition plans, and facility readiness reviews that help agencies move light-duty and medium-duty fleets to electric and other zero-emission vehicles.

We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.

What you'll do

• Assess agency fleets by vehicle class, duty cycle, mileage, dwell time, and replacement timing
• Model energy demand, charger counts, and depot or yard charging layouts for phased transition
• Evaluate facility electrical capacity, parking, and operations impacts of electrification
• Build multi-year transition roadmaps with capital, operating, and staffing implications
• Compare total cost of ownership scenarios and recommend vehicle and charger procurement sequences
• Advise on funding pathways (NEVI, CFI, VW, IRA, state clean-fleet programs) agencies can use
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming

Apply to be considered.
