Emergency Veterinarian at Alliance Animal Health in Roanoke, VA

Company Description

Open since 1994, Emergency Veterinary Services of Roanoke is the area’s only 24-hour emergency and critical care hospital, delivering exceptional care with a dedicated team and advanced equipment, including an internist to support with advanced cases.

As a team, we are proud to give back to the community we call home—supporting local events, partnering with the SPCA, and working alongside service dog organizations. Our practice is more than a workplace; it’s a close-knit team united by a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in emergency care.

While the care of animals is important, we also recognize that we can’t do that if we don’t care for our people too. So, we’ve built a practice based on the following values:

• Being kind to ourselves and others.
• Respect for medicine and relationships.
• Being honest and open in our dealings with those around us.
• Having attention to detail because sometimes it’s this that unlocks a case or makes a client or teammate’s day.
• Doing what we say we’ll do because acting with integrity is never the wrong move.
• Honoring our teammates because we know that without a shared bond of trust, our jobs get ten times harder.
• Making the conscious choice to show up each day and make the practice a positive and energizing place to be.
• Having fun.
• Cake - if you cook then basically, the job is yours. (OK, that’s not quite true, but it would definitely be a tick in the plus column.)

Your mental health and professional development are also extremely important, so you can expect us to cater to these things in the form of support and generous CE budget.
