Junior DevOps Engineer (One Delivery)

Location: Warszawa, Fabryka Norblina

Company: OpenNet.pl sp. z o.o.

As a Junior DevOps Engineer in our team, you will dive into the world of modern, cloud-native infrastructure with a strong focus on Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their DevOps journey who is eager to learn and grow under the mentorship of experienced senior engineers. You will play a crucial role in supporting our developer infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and participating in the creation of scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions. If you have a proactive learning attitude and want to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, this is the perfect place for you.

In your daily work, you will handle the following tasks:

• Supporting and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and Kubernetes environments under the guidance of senior team members.
• Monitoring systems, troubleshooting build failures, deployment errors, and containerized application issues.
• Acting as the first point of contact for developer infrastructure-related tickets and performing basic troubleshooting (CI servers, OS in containers).
• Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to run automated workflows and execute complex deployments in the Azure cloud.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as applying approved security patches to container images and system hardening.
• Actively participating in small to medium-sized technical projects and code reviews while clearly communicating changes, plans, and potential risks.

We are looking for people with:

• A strong, proactive learning attitude and a willingness to work with new technologies under supervision.
• Basic understanding of DevOps methodologies, systems engineering concepts, and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration, especially understanding how Kubernetes components (e.g., pods, services, ingresses) work internally.
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud computing concepts (knowledge of Microsoft Azure will be a strong plus).
• Basic experience with Linux operating systems (especially within containers) and general troubleshooting.
• An understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Good communication skills, ensuring transparency and the ability to clearly describe technical problems and solutions to the team.

What's in it for you:

• Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.
• Annual bonus based on your annual performance and company results.
• Well-located offices (with e.g. fully equipped kitchens, bicycle parking, terraces full of greenery) and excellent work tools (e.g., raised desks, ergonomic chairs, interactive conference rooms).
• A 16" or 14" MacBook Pro or corresponding Dell with Windows and all the necessary accessories.
• A wide selection of fringe benefits in a cafeteria plan - you choose what you like (e.g., medical, sports or lunch packages, insurance, purchase vouchers).
• English classes that we pay for related to the specific nature of your job.
• A training budget, inter-team tourism, hackathons, and an internal learning platform where you will find multiple trainings.
• An additional day off for volunteering, which you can use alone, with a team, or with a larger group of people.
• Social events for Allegro people - Spin Kilometers, Family Day, Fat Thursday, Advent of Code, and many other occasions we enjoy.

#goodtobehere means that:

• You will join a team you can count on - we work with top-class specialists who have knowledge- and experience-sharing in their DNA.
• You will love our level of autonomy in team organization, the space for continuous development, and the opportunity to try new things.
• You get to choose which technology solves the problem and you are responsible for what you create.
• You will value our Developer Experience and the full platform of tools (Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, etc.) that make creating software easier.
• You will be equipped with modern AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, allowing you to focus on developing and refining services.
• You will create solutions that will be used (and loved!) by your friends, family and millions of our customers.
• You will meet the Allegro Scale, which starts with over 1000 microservices, an open-source data bus (Hermes), and tens of petabytes of data.
• You will become part of Allegro Tech - we speak at conferences, run our own blog, record podcasts, and organize our own internal conference.
