This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.
The Associate, Operational Excellence (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for optimizing outcomes through specialized tasks and independent research. You will focus on enhancing business performance using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies. Specifics include:
• Perform specialized tasks and conduct independent research to optimize outcomes
• Make decisions within the scope of assigned tasks using advanced knowledge and analytical skills
• Support the cross-functional process improvement program to enhance business performance by eliminating waste, improving customer satisfaction, and increasing market share
• Assist in tracking and reporting progress towards annual objectives for the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP)
• Identify opportunities for Lean improvement (Gemba) events and participate in major Lean improvement events to achieve cost reductions
• Support candidates for Green Belt and Black Belt training, including Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belts through their certification projects
• Work at various organizational levels to create value and buy-in as a change driver
All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
