Job Description
- Oversee slag handling operations in SMS area, including slag and tapping pits under furnaces.
- Ensure smooth movement of Ladle Transfer Car (LTC) by cleaning and maintaining tracks.
- Carry out housekeeping and maintain cleanliness around EAF, slag pits, and surrounding areas.
- Handle safe cooling of hot slag at dumping areas using water shower methods.
- Support shutdown activities by cleaning pits, quenching towers, and chamber areas.
- Assist in emergency situations such as slag overflow and ensure safe work conditions.
- Follow company safety rules, HS&E policies, and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, and support other operational and housekeeping tasks as required.
