Job Description
Summary: Architects Unlimited LLC is a small collaborative architecture practice focused on client goals, design aesthetics, efficiency, and high-quality drawings and details. The company is seeking a part-time Architect to support projects from schematic design through construction administration, including project development, consultant coordination, technical documentation, permitting, client communication, and construction support.
Responsibilities:
- Support projects from schematic design through construction administration
- Lead aspects of project development and coordination appropriate to experience level
- Produce and refine drawings, BIM models, and presentation materials
- Prepare permit and construction document sets
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and specialty teams
- Help lead drafters and redline drawings
- Participate in client meetings and presentations (with increasing leadership opportunities)
- Conduct code research and support permitting strategies
- Develop renderings, diagrams, and presentation materials
- Assist with scheduling, task management, and project coordination
- Support construction administration (RFIs, submittals, site visits, consultant coordination)
- Contribute to QA/QC and technical consistency across documents
- Help improve office standards, templates, and workflows
- Support and mentor junior staff as opportunities arise
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of architectural experience working under an architect
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and graphic presentation skills
- Understanding of building codes, detailing, and construction documentation
- Experience with building systems and construction methods
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with restaurants, car washes, convenience stores, retail, escape rooms, storage buildings and offices
- Professional degree in Architecture (M.Arch preferred)
- Experience in construction administration
- Experience coordinating consultants and permit processes
- Licensure or active pursuit of licensure
- Experience mentoring junior staff
- Experience leading project teams and client coordination
