Monday to Friday schedule from 8h am to 4h pm with every second Saturday

The levers through which you will make an impact:
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the lab technician is expected to ensure quality standards are met and are to continuously monitor and improve the product to meet Company and regulatory standards. This role requires daily testing (microbiological, compositional, keeping quality), participation in and knowledge of HACCP & SQF verification activities, record keeping, and inspection procedures.
Thoroughly testing all samples from production within required timelines;
Performing chemical and microbiological analyses of products and accurately documenting all results;
Carefully and accurately interpreting all data and test results;
Performing root cause analyses when issues are identified and gathering information from necessary parties;
Completing a thorough weekly environmental analysis, taking samples throughout the plant to ensure all sanitation standards are being met;
Participation in HACCP inspections;
Sanitization tasks as required;
Accurately calibrating lab equipment, closely following calibration procedures;
Administrative duties;
What will enable you to create value:
Must possess post-secondary education in Science, Agriculture, Laboratory Tech, or related field;
Knowledge of HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practice
Ability to follow precise procedures, excellent hand eye coordination, self-motivated;
Ability to effectively communicate and work as a part of a team;
A strong commitment to occupational health and safety standards and procedures;
Previous lab experience is considered an asset;
