Job Description
Summary: Ag Management Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will accurately complete accounting, finance, and record-keeping tasks for multiple organizations under the supervision of the Senior Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor bank accounts and incoming payments
- Verify, classify, compute, post, and record accounts receivable data
- Prepare and manage invoices and bank deposits
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger and generate associated reports
- Communicate with customers via phone and e-mail to resolve questions, discrepancies, and collections of outstanding invoices
- Perform tasks necessary in contributing to the month-end close process and preparation of financial statements
- Serve as back-up for other finance department functions
- Supports finance department with credit card receipt collection, classification, and reconciliation
- Perform updates to database systems with new accounting information as required
- Assists Finance Department with special projects to further knowledge of accounting policies
- Perform other activities deemed necessary to help the finance department function optimally
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of accounting related work experience; or a post-secondary degree and one year in finance or accounting, required
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, data base entry (CRM) and reporting
- Above average customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Motivated, organized, accurate and detail oriented
- Ability to work both individually and in team setting while handling multiple projects and programs
- Available to work evenings and weekends as job requires, travel intrastate and interstate and furnish own transportation for reimbursement of expenses at established rate
- Maintain confidential/sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with accounting software; Quickbooks Online and Sage Intacct preferred
