Radiographer (Mobile TB Screening) at ACC Consultancy · Durban

We are recruiting a qualified Radiographer for a well-established health research organisation in KwaZulu-Natal. You will do chest X-rays for community TB screening from a mobile X-ray van serving local communities in and around Tongaat.

Key responsibilities

• Take good-quality chest X-rays for TB screening in the mobile X-ray unit
• Position patients correctly, apply radiation protection, and keep exposure as low as possible for patients, staff and the public
• Do the daily equipment checks and basic quality control on the mobile unit, and report faults quickly
• Record patient details and imaging information accurately on the required systems
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures in a TB screening setting
• Work with the outreach and clinical team to keep patients moving through screening sessions smoothly
• Treat patients with respect and keep their information confidential, in line with research and ethical standards

Minimum requirements

• National Diploma in Radiography, or a B.Tech / BSc Radiography degree
• Registered with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer, with proof of both original and current registration
• CPD compliant
• Experience with TB screening after completing community service
• Comfortable working in a mobile, community-based setting

Advantageous

• Experience in mobile or outreach radiography
• Experience in a research or NGO health setting
• Fluent in isiZulu and English
• A valid driver’s licence

Pay: R19 000,00 - R51 000,00 per month

Work Location: In person
