Job Description
Position Summary
As a BIM Coordinator, you will support the Low Voltage Construction team by developing and coordinating high-quality, data-rich BIM models for both new construction and renovation projects. This role focuses on low voltage systems, including structured cabling, pathway systems, and communications room layouts, ensuring alignment with project requirements and field conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Revit and Navisworks.
- Model and coordinate low voltage systems (structured cabling, pathways, telecom rooms) in accordance with contract documents, BICSI, and NEC standards.
- Perform clash detection in Navisworks and actively coordinate resolutions with other trades.
- Work under the direction of the Project Manager and Project Supervisor to support project deliverables.
- Follow project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and established workflows.
- Collaborate with field teams to validate constructability and ensure models reflect real-world conditions.
- Participate in site visits and job walks to verify installations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in improving company BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- 1–3 years of experience in BIM, VDC, or construction coordination (low voltage or MEP preferred)
- Proficient in Revit and Navisworks
- Ability to lead coordination meetings
- Experience working in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Navisworks clash detection experience
- Ability to visit active construction sites and navigate jobsite conditions
- May require extended work hours to meet project deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and make decisions under pressure
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand design intent
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience with low voltage systems (structured cabling, pathways, telecom rooms)
- Familiarity with BICSI and NEC standards
- Experience with clash detection and coordination workflows
- Knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s or bachelor's degree in construction, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant certifications (BICSI, Autodesk, etc.) are a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
