Import Executive

Location: Goregaon, Mumbai |

Job Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end import operations from PO to final delivery.
  
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, CHA, customs, freight forwarders, shipping lines and transporters.
  
• Manage and verify import documents – Invoice, Packing List, BL, COO, COA, MSDS, etc.
  
• Handle customs clearance, shipment tracking and port-to-plant transportation.
  
• Ensure compliance with Customs, DGFT, FEMA and GST requirements.
  
• Monitor container movement and control demurrage/detention costs.
  
• Coordinate with Finance for LC, advance payments and import-related bank documentation.
  
• Maintain import trackers, MIS and ERP/SAP records.
  
• Coordinate with Procurement, Stores and Production for timely availability of imported raw materials.
  

Requirements

• Graduate in Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain or related field.
  
• 2+ years of hands-on Import Operations experience.
  
• Strong knowledge of Import Documentation & Customs Clearance.
  
• Experience with CHA, freight forwarders and shipping lines.
  
• Knowledge of Incoterms, DGFT, FEMA and GST.
  
• SAP/ERP and Excel knowledge preferred.
  
• Chemical / Specialty Chemical / Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
