Summary: Yusen Logistics (Americas) is seeking a Sustainability and Procurement Intern based out of its Secaucus, NJ office. The intern will support Yusen’s work to reach its SBTi-validated targets across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions categories, with the ultimate goal of being net zero by 2050. Responsibilities: - Aid the Sustainability and Procurement Director to drive practical and innovative emission reduction solutions - Assist with Scope 1, 2, and 3 emission calculations - Collect and analyze data from our facilities and operations, including electricity, fuels and waste - Help organize and run Green Employee Resource Group meetings - Present findings internally at Yusen as needed - Stay up to date on emerging emissions reduction and energy efficiency trends and technologies Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a business or logistics degree program - Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - Capable of working both independently and in a team environment - The skill to analyze data and identify trends that will help in decision-making - The ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations where the way forward is not immediately clear - A desire to make a difference in the world, and the willingness to act - Must be able to commit 20 hours per week across 8 weeks Required Skills: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Emission calculation, Data collection, Data analysis, Independent work
