Compensation: $200,000-$300,000 + competitive equity.

About this role
Senior/Staff-level Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and scale Highlight's cross-platform desktop application, working across the stack from modern TypeScript frontends to native system-level integrations, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability and seamless UX, at the intersection of desktop software, native development and AI integration.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core features of an Electron desktop application
- Own end-to-end implementation of user-facing and infrastructure features, from UI to native modules
- Develop and integrate LLM-based functionality
- Collaborate on native code in C++ (Windows) and Swift (macOS)
- Help make architectural decisions and contribute to the company's technical direction
