Job Description
Summary: Yale University is seeking a creative, detail-oriented communications intern to assist with graphic design, content creation, event coordination, and website support. This internship provides hands-on experience in core communications skills while contributing to projects that strengthen Yale’s internal communications.
Responsibilities:
- Create visually compelling graphics for social media, marketing campaigns, presentations, and print materials
- Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all design projects
- Draft and edit copy for employee newsletters, marketing campaigns, social media, and events
- Support storytelling initiatives that align with organizational goals
- Assist with planning and logistics for virtual and in-person events
- Support the development of promotional materials and event-related communications
- Assist with auditing or refining website content
- Support AI optimization by improving content structure, updating metadata, and preparing content for AI-friendly formats
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a college or university program (Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools
- Strong writing and editing skills; detail-oriented
- Familiar with social media platforms and basic web content management
- Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks
- Interest in event planning and digital communications
