At WSP, we support clients throughout the mining lifecycle, bringing together expertise across geology, engineering, water, tailings and mine closure. This integrated approach gives you the opportunity to see the bigger picture, collaborate across disciplines and contribute to practical solutions at every stage of a project.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Geologist to deliver geological consulting services across exploration, geological modelling, Mineral Resource estimation and technical studies. You will work with clients and project teams to interpret complex geological information, provide trusted technical advice and deliver clear, defensible outcomes.

You will also be able to leverage WSP’s global network, connecting with technical specialists and international experts to share knowledge and solve complex project challenges.

What you’ll do

• Lead and contribute to geological interpretation, modelling and Mineral Resource estimation
• Provide geological advice for technical studies, due diligence, audits and exploration programs
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals and client deliverables
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities
• Collaborate with specialists across geology, engineering, water, tailings and closure
• Support junior geologists through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to the ongoing development of geological methods, tools and standards

About you

You’ll bring:

• A degree in Geology, Geoscience or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in exploration, mine geology, resource geology or geological consulting
• Strong capability in geological interpretation, 3D modelling and Mineral Resource estimation
• Proficiency in software such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac or Datamine
• Experience preparing technical documentation aligned with recognised reporting codes
• Strong communication, client engagement and project delivery skills
• The ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

Professional membership and Competent Person status, or progress towards eligibility, will be highly regarded.
