Job Description
Summary: WSP is one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms, and they are seeking a Structural Engineer to join their Industrial Center of Excellence team. The role focuses on developing construction documents for various clients and designing structural systems for building cores, shells, and foundations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural systems for building cores, shells, and foundations, including steel, concrete, and masonry elements
- Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes (IBC, ACI, AISC)
- Coordinate with architects and other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to integrate structural design into overall facility plans
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 1+ years of experience in structural design for facilities or industrial projects
- Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software, including STAAD, RAM and Risa, as well as AutoCAD, and Revit
- Knowledge of building codes and standards; strong technical writing and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- EIT license preferred
- Experience with Navisworks
- Experience with food & beverage or federal facility projects; familiarity with BIM workflows
- Previous design and consulting experience
